is a great tropical beach
with plenty of
beach resorts & spa's and other hotels along
the beach road and behind. Patong Beach is
actually a wide angle bay. Patong
beach was badly hit by the Tsunami. Along
the road in Patong and beside the Patong
beach hotels massage parlors are plenty.
The
fat Thai massage ladies at the the Patong
Beach "sand spa" push their weight into
every move, it sometimes really hurts.
Hotels and bars at Patong beach are
available for any budget but keep one
thing in mind there are no quiet places in
Patong beach Phuket, its loud, its noisy and
very careless on anything, the only
exception is when money is waiting. You will find a
strange philosophy around here, most people wont
care about anything, they let their "pig" out.

it could be just the right holiday beach for
you if you like it hot by any means, day and
night.

The idea is
..don't think - have fun !! Along Patong beach road
and the small alleys the real
helter skelter is on. Thai from the north,
Indian people, Bangladeshi, guys from Laos and
Myanmar hanging around in flimsy shelters try to
carve out a small space where they could put something
and have some sales.
Its a day
and night business at Patong beach only the person changes from
time to time. Late morning the
sun is already burning. The first tourists
occupy their deckchairs and try to get rid of
the hang over from last night. Beer is
cheap at Phuket Patong and other services too. A
small Heineken is about baht 80,-
and the local beer Singh and beer Chang is about
baht 60,- at the Soi . |

Phuket weather is great, from November to May
its even greater and there are so many positive
thinking girls around, its a
man's worlds at Patong beach. Some fat ugly women
from Isaan quarrel over where to place
their deckchairs and mats for the foreigners to massage,
beach massage is in.
Maybe you like a Patong Beach sightseeing tour with a
parachute via pulling with the speedboat, do a
ride on the the jet ski, this is somehow
controlled and regulated since a while now after
plenty of terrible accidents happen, run over
the head etc. and nobody claims the body
afterwards
At the
horizon of Patong Beach a huge cruise ship has
anchored, some sail boats are
around and people swim and snorkel. Small travel agent
offices everywhere in Patong offer daytrips
for diving and snorkeling plus live aboard
excursions to the island
world of the great Andaman
Sea, mainly around Phuket like the Similan Archipelago, Surin
Islands or further north into the Mergui
Archipelago in Myanmar or Burma. A daytrip out
of Patong could be to coral island and the
other small Island around Phuket. This day tours
are usually done with a minibus and a speedboat.

Patong beach is some sort of a modern
Sodom and Gomorrah in a positive sense. A
few bigger massage parlors are on the north
south through road further inside Patong
village like Christine, this is a full
service massage for man where all kind of
hanky panky is done for about baht 2000,-
per one hour session.

There is one
disco right on the Patong beach road and
several others spread over Patong Town.
Branching off Bangla Road are many small soi
-alley- like Soi Eric where hundreds of
girls are waiting.
In Patong
beach you will hardly find cottage
accommodation on the beach along the road,
the area along Patong beach is filled with
up market Patong hotels, resort & spa.

Beach all
good deckchairs are occupied for the day and the
sun does the job.

The Tsunami hit
Patong Beach in the morning
and not after lunch, if the Tsunami would have
hit in the afternoon, a
massacre would have been the result since Patong Beach was more or less the
worst hit area in Phuket because of the underwater
topography. It took a few month to get rid of
the visible Tsunami damages.

At the south end
of Patong Beach are some quiet
parts where longtail boats
are parked waiting for some
tourists.
Patong Beach massage is very
popular among the tourists relaxing
on the beach.
Almost all Patong
massage ladies are from somewhere in
northern Thailand. Tough fat middle
aged women with a strong and steady
grip. They treat you for an hour,
after
you need 2 hour to relax

Patong is hard to beat in terms
of the diversity of restaurants and
food offered every few meters.
Restaurants of any
typ can be found. Thai, Japanese,
Chinese, French, Italian, Arab,
Russian, German, Austrian, Burger,
Vegetarian, Indian, Steak, Barbecue,
Seafood, Pizza, etc. |

A little bit
further into the concrete, wood, plastic and metal sheets jungle are
plenty of other bars and noodle stalls. There
are jewelry shops, bookshops, shopping malls and
a brand new huge mall -Jung Ceylon- this shops
over 3 level, a hotel, supermarket and the
almost only place in Patong Beach to park the
car.
Some Thai guys
try to place some strange creatures of the
small dragon type on your shoulder, make a photo...give
some money is their message.
At about 3 pm the
first guys with the red skin already hang around
in the small bars along Bangla Road and get
their first beers uploaded, the TV screams,
the DVD bang out the latest English songs.The early butterfly move in on their hunt
for "farangs", Thai ladies are
here for business at Patong Beach.

The center of
Patong (video) nightlife is Bangla Road,
at
daytime packed with delivery pick up's, coming to life
after 8 pm. Patong bars, go go
nightclubs, open air bars along the road and the
alleys branching off Bangla Road. Every evening
around 5.000 ladies and young guys
from all over Thailand, some from Lao and
Myanmar or Burma offer their services to
thousands of tourists from all over the world
and this is not limited to guys.
Dozens of
mini-skirted ladies parade along Bangla Road, Patong's main fun zone. Some "farang" have a
flirt with them, and after some
action in one of the many cheap hotels behind
the eastern end of Bangla Road. Others stare
glumly into their Heineken beers or do some pool

needs some earplugs,
