-Mai Khao Beach is
at the north west end of Phuket Island, stretched along the waterline
for several km and
behind are coconut plantation.
As you can see on the pictures
here the beach is lined with coniferous trees which is
nothing negative, the palms are a little bit more further.
Actually most
beaches in Phuket Island have pine trees behind the sand.
Its near to the airport and quite far
to Patong and Phuket Town, both are over 30 km to the the south.
Its a little bit isolated up there in the north. Why is the beach on Phuket Island a real exotic
one? It's facing the Andaman Sea for several kilometers with
powder-like light yellow
sand. Lush tropical vegetation and the great environment of a
tropical vacation destination with excellent service will give you a
time to enjoy yourself. The sand at the beach is just right and
your little ones will have a great time building sandcastles here
This rather remote beach area on
Phuket island is the perfect
vacation destinations if you are searching for a secluded vacation
spot no villages
or towns are around. Mai Khao Beach is at the northwest side of Phuket Island
dominated by the JW Marriot hotel. There are also a couple of other
beach resorts, luxury villas and apartments for rental and
purchasing. But keep in mind in Thailand it is forbidden to buy
property by a foreigner, it won’t matter what the real estate agent
is saying.
The beach is ideal for
swimming and snorkeling because of the steep gradient into the
sea, it's also a great place to party. A Mai Khao Beach
holiday doesn’t mean you have to turn into a red lobster, take
enough sunscreen and drink lots of water. |

The secluded
beach area is one of the areas where leatherback sea turtles still come to to lay their eggs in the sand.
The nesting time is from November to February.To pop up the turtle population in southern Thailand every April young hatchlings are released into the Andaman Sea.

and

beach inn.
The beach at this part of the Indian ocean, actually its the Andaman Sea is quite natural still. The reason is officially its a national park means nothing cant be done there everything must be kept like it always was.
But big money, including the real estate development arm of the deposed Thai prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra is moving in to change this. Currently on the extension of the JW Mariott beach resort beach villas are constructed by the dozen, this are not cheap
beach rooms or
discount hotel. On this
holiday beach and
holiday resort big things are happen and big money is made. The close other hotels to this JW Marriott ocean resort are the Anantara Phuket Beach Resort and the Sala Phuket Resort & Spa. |
