Chalong Phuket Chalong Beach

- Chalong Beach is at Chalong Bay, the main public marina in Phuket,

but almost nobody is using it as a beach since the area is a commercial one where most of the speedboats carrying tourist between the islands south of Phuket come in.

About 200m to the south is a local ship repair or dry dock right on Chalong beach. From Chalong pier to the Chalong circle are a couple of good restaurants, guesthouses, ship supply store, travel agents, dive supply shop and transport facilitie.

Around the same area is Fisherman Way, a nice housing compound with houses for rent on short or long term and several restaurants wine shops and a car dealer specialized for small cars. To Patong Beach and Phuket Town it’s about 15 minutes with the car.

The water around Chalong Beach is very shallow and not suitable for swimming some people have a look around a low tide for shells.

is not a very trendy nightspot such as Patong Beach, rather a quiet area along the road from Chalong Circle
to Chalong Pier. At the beer flows quick, the ladies from anywhere in Thailand wait for you and try to have some fun.

On the through road from the Chalong Circle to Rawai are some rotten karaoke lounges and some more
bars with live music and good seafood
